Who we are
The Site is an independent, non-commercial information resource about the second-generation Tesla Roadster, run by a private operator (“we,” “us,” “our”). We are not Tesla, Inc. and are not affiliated with it. Tesla’s own privacy practices are covered by Tesla’s privacy notice on tesla.com.

Summary
- No accounts, sign-ups, forms, comments, payments or reservations.
- No analytics, advertising pixels, social media trackers or fingerprinting.
- No sale or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Limited technical data (such as IP addresses) is processed by our hosting provider and font provider so the Site can be delivered.
- If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
Information we process
Server and security logs
When your browser requests a page, our hosting infrastructure automatically receives standard technical data: your IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring URL, your browser type and version, operating system, and the HTTP status of the response. This is needed to deliver the Site, keep it secure, prevent abuse and diagnose errors.
Web fonts
The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. To deliver the font files, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser information. Google states that the Google Fonts API does not set cookies and that font requests are not used to build advertising profiles. See Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
Browser storage
We store a single value in your browser’s local storage to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice. It holds only a timestamp, is never sent to us and cannot identify you. See our Cookie Policy.
Emails you send us
If you contact us, we receive your email address, name (if provided) and the content of your message.
What we do not collect
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, precise geolocation, payment data, government identifiers or biometric data.

We do not use personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only:
- To service providers who act on our behalf: our web host / content delivery network, our email provider and Google Fonts. They are limited to processing data to provide their services.
- For legal reasons, when required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of the Site, our users or others.
- In a transfer of the Site to a new operator, in which case this policy would continue to apply to information transferred.
Your US state privacy rights
Depending on where you live (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Nebraska, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, Rhode Island and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Know / access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete personal information we collected from you;
- Portability — receive a copy of your data in a usable format;
- Opt out of the sale of personal information, “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising and profiling. We do none of these, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still submit a request;
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any);
- Appeal a decision we make about your request;
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
California disclosures (CCPA/CPRA)
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (IP address, email address if you contact us) and internet or other electronic network activity (server log data). Sources: you and your browser. Purposes: as described above. We have disclosed these categories for business purposes to the service providers listed above. We have not sold or shared personal information, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16.
Global Privacy Control
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar browser opt-out signals as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing. Because we do not sell or share personal information, the Site works the same whether or not such a signal is sent.
How to make a request
Email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy request” and the right you wish to exercise. We will respond within 45 days (extendable once by 45 days where permitted). We may need to verify your identity, generally by matching information you provide with what we hold. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of the agent’s authority. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying with “Appeal” in the subject line; if you remain unsatisfied, you may contact your state Attorney General.
Visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object at any time.
The Site is operated from, and hosted in, the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by our providers, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period, typically no longer than 30 days unless needed to investigate a security incident. Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. The local storage value stays in your browser until you clear it.
Security
The Site is served only over HTTPS. We limit the data we collect and use reputable providers with industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. This is consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Third-party links
The Site links to external websites, including tesla.com and news publishers. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please read their policies before providing any information.
Do Not Track
We do not track visitors across websites, so we treat all visitors the same whether or not a Do Not Track signal is sent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
